Game Show Network has been airing fewer and fewer Classics over the years, and focusing more on recent acquisitions and new content. However, for the month of December, and possibly longer, they plan on adding an afternoon schedule full of Classic Game Shows, including: Super Password, Press Your Luck, Card Sharks and Family Feud starring Richard Dawson. This would make the Classic airtime on this network to it’s highest number in close to 20 years!
For our Classic game show fans, we do have BuzzrTV, and for the last 7 years they have been the home to 24 hours of the best Classics, it is nonetheless refreshing to see an Game Show Network going back to it’s roots, even if it is for a short time. From 1:00pm to 3:00pm every weekday afternoon in the month of December, these Classics and possibly others will be rotated on the schedule.
There is no news yet on the status of the annual Black & White Over Night block that shows up around this time of year during the holiday season. Hopefully it will be back as well. It’s somewhat of a holiday tradition around here, and it would be great to see it return.
Also to note that the episodes that we will be seeing are not known yet, and will probably be available to us at a later time.
